Operational Guidance

Step 1
Step 1: Based on the requirement (measuring distance for far or near use), adjust the fixation distance key to the position marked as ∞ or 30cm.
Step 2
Step 2: Turn on the MAIN switch. Place the pupillometer's forehead and nose parts against the patient's forehead and nose. Instruct the patient to focus on the green illuminated target.
Step 3
Step 3: The optometrist observes the reflection points on the pupils and adjusts the left and right PD adjustment keys to align with the corneal reflection points of both eyes.
Step 4
Step 4: Read the displayed values. (Typically, take the average of three readings.) RIGHT represents the right eye pupillary distance; LEFT represents the left eye pupillary distance. The middle value PD represents the distance between the pupils, i.e., the interpupillary distance.
